Neutering my yorkie questions?? My puppy contract with the breeder sates; " This puppy cannot be spayed or neutered with the use of a trachea tube until at least one year of age, or breeder does not except any responsibility for collapsing trachea". Does this mean I cannot have him neutered now, at 6 months? My vet wants him neutered in Dec. I asked about the trachea and the said they did use them. Not sure what I should do...Is this common with breeders? |
Honestly I have never heard of that being put in a contract but it did get me to thinking. I have read that there are some danger in using a tracheal tube. I would imagine that the breeder may of had some problems with the procedure with the past or has heard of the problems cause from using a tracheal tube. My feelings are that it would not cause any harm to your boy to just wait until he is over a year old to have him neutered unless you have intact females in your house. How big is your male puppy? It would be best for you to talk to your breeder about your concerns. |
