any chance testicles will drop? my puppy's testicles didn't drop, he is almost 10 months...is there a possibility the testicles drop after 10 months? can pups without testicles have babies? |

WOW! I have never heard of them staying "up" for that long. You should ask your vet about it. I know they can't get neutered until they have dropped. I did hear somewhere that there is a way to massage them down but I don't know if you are that close with your dog!!! |

You should check with your vet. It's possible that it is attached to an internal organ. In that case he might need surgery. I'm sure hes fine though! |

A yorkie without testicles are always sterile . |

A Yorkie without testicles is not normal. The neutering will be more extensive BUT he should not even be considered for use in breeding. Your vet might want an X-ray or CT scan to find out what is what.. And retained testicles are more likely to become cancerous so it is best to have him neutered. |

Males CAN descend AFTER 10 months of age. I have one that had a testicle descend right at a year of age. |

My daughter has a friend that just purchased a lab from our physician - he owns the champion sire. Deuce's testicles haven't dropped yet but he is still very young (even though he looks like a horse playing with my three) -- I think he's about 10 weeks old. Dr. Magee told Jacob that if his testicles don't drop, he'll need to neuter him and then he will give him pick of the litter following the neutering. Offtopic -- while Jacob and Deuce were here visiting this weekend, it was so much fun playing with him. Jacob trains him daily and he is excellent with sitting, fetching it up, and drop. While he was here, I taught him to speak. He's being trained for hunting and for agility type competitions. |
