As we don't know if or when he's had any vaccinations, they decided to start his puppy vaccinations from scratch, so he's had his first jab, and the kennel cough one up his nose, he didn't like that! They said they think he could still put a little more weight on, but he's not far off right. I mentioned his eyes and they weren't concerned, she said they didn't look infected at all, and his eyes are not red, his eyes just run a little. He has his second lot of jabs in 2 weeks, so they're going to wait until his jabs are out of the way before they castrate and microchip him, as the jabs can make him feel a bit off.
Millie my Staffy has had blistering feet, it's been an ongoing thing, when she runs, she gets blisters that pop an bleed. She recently had biopsies to see whether she had Epidermoysis Bullosis, as my vet suspected it. When the lab results came back, he said he didn't think it was EB because of the presentation of the inflammation. He thought it was demodex mites, even though he couldn't see any mites, he said as she had mange as a young dog, he thinks she still may have a low level of mites, and although it's an odd presentation, he thinks she may have overly sensitive feet, and the mites are aggravating and causing the blisters. She now has Aludex wash for her feet, and I need to do them weekly, and slowly hopefully we'll see an improvement! |
