I haven't heard of it, is it pre-made frozen raw, then? Sounds fab! I've been feeding raw for about 6 or 7 years now and I love it.
And btw, WOW on your vet - LOVING your vet. The majority of vets are clueless about raw diets and how they work within a dog's system. There can also be a lot of fear-mongering amongst less informed vets with respect to raw. | Vets tend to hear all the bad things that can happen, and I do believe that if you choose to feed raw, you have to be a little more diligent. Some people will ignore the warnings on the bag that say thaw in refrigerator, some will nuke them to thaw, and might end up cooking them, changing the nutrient panel, some will ignore warnings about washing their hands after feeding, and the list goes on. It's not complex, but you do have to be more careful then you are with kibble. Also premade raw is so much different than primal raw, which takes a lot more work and planning. Again, not that complex, but you do have to mix up the types of meat, such as organ vs. muscle meat and so on. I guess I just don't have a lot of confidence in the average person's abilities when it comes to things that aren't "foolproof." |
