For those of you using a probiotic, what brand are you using?

Lifeway Plain Kefir with Probatics - I gave my puppy 1 - 2 teaspoons a day.

I give NWC Naturals, probiotics & digestive enzymes. I also take the human version of their probiotics for myself.

It seems as if Betty Boop is having to take antibiotics more often for skin allergies this time if year. Her chest and belly are breaking out in red scabby circles. The vet said it is caused by allergies and staph. I need a good probiotic for her to take daily for the rest of her life. She weighs 7 lbs. How much Probiotic Max would I give her daily? The product says 1/4 tsp for 25 lbs.

I'm also wondering if Kefir would be a good product for her. It is given good reviews on some websites.

I just give a "pinch" to them. A little more or less will not hurt anything.

I've heard great things about kefir...I should really try it for my babies.

I drink the Strawberry flavored Kefir milk in my smoothie daily, and my babies get anywhere from 1 tsp to 1 tblsp daily, depending on the pups size. They get the plain unflavored Kefir milk....

Due to Miss Tink's issues with the clostridium perfringens bacteria, my vet has put her on Purina's FortiFlora.

Kefir has so many amazing benefits for humans. I drink it everyday and it really does improve digestive system,hair, skin, nails. List goes on. I actually prefer it to yogurt. I give my dogs greek yogurt (stony field because I've heard its the best one to give human babies) They get vanilla and love it. very easy to top off their kibble with. Never any left and they eat what they are supposed to at the same time:)
For me, I drink the Lifeway Kefir. Lots of flavor choices and I take a supplement called Ultimate Flora - Womens Complete 90 Billion, 12 GPS Probiotic Strains, by Renew Life. Oh to add to that, I do mix in 1 tablespoon of Flaxseed meal. Its ground flaxseed, not just the seeds….I was told by a nutritionist, that the kefir is like to solution that softens everything up, and the flaxseed meal is like the broom that goes thru to sweep it out, lol.

I can't give Callie any dairy like milk, yogurt or cheese or she starts vomiting so that's out for us.
