Dry milk? My aunt wants to bake Sophie some cookies and has shown me some recipes and I think I found one that won't be an issue for Sophie's belly. One of the ingredients is 2 tablespoons of dry milk and I tried looking this up but have given up and figured I would just ask! Does it mean the instant dry milk or the non-instant dry milk? I cannot for the life of me find anything to tell me which one. I know it will probably be easy to find the answer if I could figure out how to word it on google! From the searching I have done all I have found is that non-instant is a mix of dairy and soy and instant is just dairy. The non-instant is better in cooking, but I don't really want to give her soy if I can avoid it. |
Hmmmm....good question! Is there a reason you need to avoid soy? I'd prob use that one since it's better for baking...but if the other one works also in baking and you want to avoid soy, then I'd go that route. My guess is that they're similar enough where they'd both work. |

Thanks! We just avoid soy because she has a pretty sensitive belly and doesn't seem to tolerate as much as I wish she could. I don't know for sure if soy would be a problem for her but oddly enough she has no issue with regular milk...I wish I could understand what goes in with her tummy. Here is the recipe, it says it makes up to 75 1 inch cookies: 2 eggs 1/2 cup canned pumpkin 2 tablespoons dry milk 1/4 teaspoon sea salt 2 1/2 cups brown rice flour * 1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional) |

Thank you for the advice, I will stick with the plain milk powder for her! |
