Do you use dental gel or spray such as Petzlife? I did use the Petzlife spray before, but lost my bottle after the move. I went to order some more on Amazon and found they only make it with mint or salmon flavor now. Reading the reviews, it says even the salmon has mint and it's strong. Uni hates anything minty so that's out. Also read it has grain alcohol and neem oil. Any other brands out there you use that would recommend? I found a loose tooth on Uni today. :( I've been bad with her teeth for a long time. Dental time soon. |
I just recently bought Bowser Breath Drops which are herbal breath drops for dogs. It's a really small bottle though. I believe I got it from the Pet Naturals website but I'm sure there are more companies that sell it. |
I like the VOHC-approved Healthy Mouth, which I mix up, keep in a mustard bottle, and squirt on every meal - easy! |

I use Plaque Off in her food everyday. I also just got some CET chews and I brush about twice a week with CET toothpaste. So far, so good on her teeth. |

Healthy mouth is a company with the seal. It's a water additive. My dogs just won't take to it. you can buy it at Welcome to Healthy Mouth LLC | the healthy choice for your dog, cat, horse |
I always wondered about the water additives. Uni always knows when there is something in her water, and unless it's chicken broth, she won't drink it! |
My dogs use Healthy Mouth. I have no idea if it's working or helping but I do know that unless I add Max's "special sauce" to his food, he won't eat! |

I can't say for sure that it works bc you know how it's *so* hard to look at their teeth and really assess if it's working? It's just hard to tell. But I do like the product's studies etc and that they're VOHC approved. It's SO easy to give too bc I just squirt it on their meals. By using it this way, it goes a long way too. |
Oh, and I also use the Wysong Dental Sprinkle, via Amazon. |
I adopted my little girl about a week ago and she had really bad breath and seemed to have trouble chewing. I was sure this was due to her previous owner neglecting to take her for a dental check (she's already 3 years old). I'm still waiting to receive her medical book to take her in myself and decided to try using a water additive in the meantime. I've been using Tropiclean Fresh Breath Water Additive for about 6 days now and it's working like a charm! Her bad breath has disappeared and she's chewing her food just fine. She doesn't seem to notice it in her water. Will still be taking her in for a dental check to be sure, but I definitely recommend this. |
