OMG Toto ate his poop last night!!! I think it was this new treat. The little nephews were over last weekend and they gave them their belated Xmas gift. One of which was a treat with rosemary, chicken, some other stuff. Ingredients looked good. It's the only thing that's been different in their diet. Last night before bed time I took them out one last time. I always pay more attention to Uni bc she sometimes pees on her butt hairs and I lift her butt up when she pees. So I saw Toto pooped, and went and followed Uni, then came back to Toto to see if he peed and the poop was gone!:thumbdown I was so grossed out I made him sleep in his crate last night. But this morning, then he pooped on the stairs and he didn't eat it. But he has been pooping more than usual. No more treats. :( |

LOl... what do you mean P ... the poop is his Treat !! :D My girl Miah is addicted to poop. I am dead serious, she get so anxious and persistent wanting to go outside that she looks like a crack head begging to go out doors so she can get her poop fix. My husband tried his best to keep it cleaned up but it cant be spotless every single minute of the day. She will dig up frozen poop to eat it too. |
Ewwww! I so remember how gross poop breath is!!! |
No Toto!!! I bet it was a one-time thing related to the treat. |
LOL. Been there with maybe every dog I've had at one time or the other. It's time like this when we get totally reminded we are living with real little animals in our houses - not furry, tiny people as I begin to think they are after living here a while. My dogs become such a part of the family, it's hard to see them as animals sometimes until I run up against something like this and am quickly reminded. But my disgusted faces, all the yucking and eeewwwwing, avoiding them and baths/tooth-brushing they quickly get discourages them keeping up that worst of instincts! Hopefully, Toto will quickly get the message that poop-eating is not one of mom's fav things for him to do! |
You are right Jeannie. I totally think of them as furry little people. Esp as having Uni as a first dog. She is more like a girl than a dog. I have let my guard down with her being so good with everything. Each time we have a new foster, I get quickly reminded that they are animals. Now I remember to not let Toto have free reign around the house if there is yummy food trash in the can. Any chance he gets he will raid the trash! Hopefully this is a one time thing. The nephews got Uni and Toto gift cards for Petsmart so I will be buying them new toothbrushes. I have been SO bad. I don't even remember the last time I brushed their teeth. Also lost the Petzlife during the move so gotta get one of those too. |
