Its because her belly is empty and the bile irritates the empty stomach, so they vomit. Her vet suggested giving her a late meal before bed to lessen the likelihood of early morning vomiting. I feed her around 7am, then she gets a snack in the afternoon, then dinner around 5pm and then a late feeding around 11pm. When i stick to this, she doesn't vomit bile at all.
I don't feed her more than i would if she was fed twice a day, I'm just breaking her daily food portion into three sections rather than two. |
