Heartworm Meds? Which is the best Heartworm Med for my Yorkie? Which ones do you guys use? |
We use Sentinel. Relatively small, chewable tablet. The pups tolerate it well...no issues so far! |
I use heart guard and trust it. |
My 3 get Sentinel monthly. No problems what so ever. |
We switched to sentinel about 9 months ago. Before that we used heart guard. Both are good products. |
I use Heartguard. |
I use Sentinel for my 2 boys |
I use revolution for my yorkie girl, which is a topical flea/tick med and includes heartworm protection (even ear mites and a few other things). So far so good :) |
Sentinel is my preference. |
chester gets heart guard plus |
Currently using heartgard but changing over to Sentinel. |
Emmy hates Heartguard Emmy hates Heartguard, but I trust it. I used it for years with my little Mozart, and we never had a problem. Any suggestions on how to make her like it more. I have tried peanut butter, pill pockets, cream cheese, and she can always sniff it out. |
needed? I've been using sentinal for years. But I read somewhere it's just a gimmick to give your dogs depending where you live. Is it really needed? I live in central cali. Never go to mountains with them. Thinking of not using anymore. Plus have had other kinds of dogs in past that never used heartworm meds. What's true about really needing it? |
Curious what is the difference between Sentinal vs. Heartguard? |
