Stella and Chewy's freeze dried raw food I recently switched my cat to Stella and Chewys because she was vomiting everything I fed her, canned and dry food. She is rapidly losing weight so the sales lady at the store suggested I tried Stella and Chewy's. She loves it and she has not vomited since she has been eating it. However it has very high protein. My cat is in kidney failure but at this point she has completely stopped eating the special diet Hills diet that was prescribed for her. At this point, it is solely about her comfort. I don't want her to starve. She doesn't have much time left. They also have it for dogs as well and I am thinking about switching Dutch to it. It has recieve 5 stars from dogfoodadvisor.com and customer reviews from amazon. Has anyone else tried it? It's expensive and so far it is the only food that my cat hasn't thrown up. |
I've heard it's a really good food product. I know how ya feel about a pet nearing their time and trying to feed them, had that experience myself. I'd say when it comes down to that, give them anything they want. If they like it, intake it easy and can keep it down, then go for it. At that point, it's better to indulge them than they starve in their last days. |
I've been feeding premade raw for about 6 years and I love it! I feed Primal or Nature's Variety as Stella's is less common here. But it's an awesome food! |
I fed Zoey S&C for one month and she developed pancreatitis. The fat content was just to high even after rehydrating. My maltese eats it and loves it. No problems with him. |
