Sick yorkie advice needed 1 Attachment(s) I have a male yorkie 7 years old that all of a sudden started having the nastiest breath. Then he started throwing up and the the runny stool. You could hear his stomach making noise with gas then he got very constipated with bloating. His teeth look fine no milky or plack build up that I can see. I started giving him small doses of gas-x and the breath getting better and gas much better but he has lost about 3 pounds and very skinny 5lbs. I fixed him some boiled chicken and brown rice last night and he filled his belly. Today though he won't eat any thing and moving very slow. I have tried all types of food today and nothing. I am very concerned about my little buddy. Don't really have money to go to vet right now. Any help will be very appreciated !! |
Is there any way that you can borrow funds or somehow see if your vet can place you on a payment plan. This sounds pretty serious and your baby should been seen asap. I hope you can find a way to get him help. |
You need to see a vet. Three pounds is a lot to lose. Obviously something is wrong and your pup needs treatment. He's not getting better with what you have tried. So I think you really must get to a vet. I almost lost Rosie over vomiting and diarrhea. You don't want to take that chance. Please update and let us know. |
Thanks |
3 pounds over 10 days. I got the pukeing and runny poop under control and he was eating better He at a lot last night but not hungry today |
Please see a vet before you need to post in the Rip Section :unlove: 3 pounds is a dire amount to lose unless the pup was obese. |
Care credit will help you with vet bills if that is the issue. No interest for 6-36 months I believe. |
That is a lot of weight to lose he needs to go to the vet ASAP. |
Ok he always weighed about 5-8 lbs during his 7 years I am not sure if it really was 3 lbs so I should have said. He has lost a few pounds That's would have been better |

Something is very wrong with your dog and he needs a vet. Whether it was one pound or more. Brown rice is also hard to digest, white rice is better. If you don't have care credit apply and find a vet that accepts it. Sell things or ask family and friends for money whatever you have to do to get him the care he needs. |
I had a little male poodle and 9yrs his breath suddenly became foul. His stool was runny or mucousy or at times bloody. He would be ill and then a little better and then ill. In the end he started having seizures, then a stroke and then I had to put him to sleep. He was very ill with liver failure. I had no idea and when I had his bloodwork done it was to late. So I would like to suggest Care Credit, a credit card or even a lean on a paid off car. Any dog loosing more than just a few ounces in a short amount of time is in danger and needs to be seen by a vet. |
Healthcare & Medical Financing Credit Card | CareCredit, you are approved in minutes, money is instantly accessible an no interest charged for twelve months. Most major vets accept (like banfield) these symptoms definitely warrant a vet visit- hope you guys are already there! Good luck little guy :animal36 |
