Must read!! Poison Control: Okay or No Way? | ASPCA I recently used vinegar and water to clean my hardwood floors, based on opinions here, I've also heard that you can mist water and vinegar on your fur babies to repel mosquitoes, which I've never tried, then I read this! |
Well it did say water and vineger is ok (click on the links items gives more info.) Cause I read peppermint oil was like "what?" and it mentioned bad for cats, We have peppermint growing outside but our outdoor cats don't mess with them. |
copied & pasted form the link you posted: I’ve heard that cleaning the home with a vinegar and water mix is a great alternative to using harsh chemicals. Is this solution harmful to dogs and cats? - John Dear John, A solution of vinegar and water used for household cleaning is not likely to pose a health concern for your cat or dog. In fact, most cleaners—natural or otherwise—are typically appropriate for use in homes with pets. The key to any product’s safety is to always follow label directions. For example, if you’re using a product to clean your tub, and the directions advise you to rinse out the tub after application, please do so in order to avoid skin irritation or gastrointestinal upset if a pet steps in or accidentally ingests any solution still present. Similarly, using a mixture of vinegar and water requires proper dilution and application. It’s also important to store any unused cleaning materials in a secure location and out of the way of your pet. Following these simple precautionary steps can help keep your pets safe and healthy. |
It never says vinegar is toxic. |
It didn't seem to say anything bad about vinegar & water, did I miss it? |
Senior moment! :p I read only the list, and assumed that it was a list to avoid. Sorry! I will continue to use vinegar and water for my hardwoods! I love it. |
phew cause I have been using vinegar and water to clean my hardwoods. Lola had a reaction to pinesol so we switched over to the vinegar .....which seems to have stopped the cough/sneeze that the pinesol was causing her. |
