| Yorkiemom1 | 08-24-2014 09:24 AM | Bottom line is they MUST eat! When you have a tiny dog, it is even more important that the pup replenishes its nutritional stores. Mixing a little baby food with the kibble I do not believe will cause any harm,.....today, baby foods that have reduced salt and sugar in them adds to the safety margins of giving baby foods. I have a couple of very picky tiny pups....these babies have been given baby food....chicken, beef, lamb.... as well as baby food veggies...... carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans......as treats, as snacks, as additives to cottage cheese or kibble, and they are healthy as horses....tiny horses! I keep baby food on hand as a staple around here. About once a month, I will set aside a day where I will boil chicken without seasoning, as well as carrots, green beans, sweet potatoes without seasoning, that I will puree or mash up, freeze in my FoodSaver paks for the dogs.....but baby food is so quick and easy and convenient, and I have seen no harm in the outcomes! These babies are 10 and 12 years old! |
