Finally something that works for carsickness I've tried almost everything for his carsickness and the only thing that worked before was the Cerenia pills from the vets, which are really expensive and he would have to have it 6 hours before we go somewhere! So it's barely worth it and he could barely go anywhere. Then to make it worse, Roxy started getting sick too. We were so bummed to have 2 carsick dogs:( Then a friend mentioned Pepcid, 30 min before a car trip and at first I didn't care to try because I didn't think it would work. So we gave it to both dogs and they haven't gotten sick since. Also even when the Cerenia worked Joel would drool like crazy but with the Pepcid he doesn't even drool. Now we've been taking them to the park more. I can't believe the difference it made:) |
What an awesome find that pepcid works for this, yay!!! Many dogs have issues w/ carsickness so to find something so simple and cheap is just awesome. I hope others will try this too. Thanks for posting about it! |
This is good to know. I think Maggie gets car sick, she hasn't thrown up but she burrows down in the car seat most of the time. She will occasionally look out the window but most of the time she is laying flat in the seat until we stop at a light. |
Libby gets sick with a lot of curves and corners. Straight road not so much. My question is how much of it do you give them? Libby is 3.2 lb. 3 1/2 yrs old. |
