Once again I will state the purpose is to provide resources for those of you curious and willing to educate yourself on raw feeding. Amazing success stories showing very I'll doggies who had been through the ringer with meds and steroids and medical foods that didn't help and turn aroud to vital energetic thriving animals. All with a natural diet.
I am fortunate that I am able to know where my meat fed to my dogs comes from as my purveyor gets her meat from the farmers. As a person who's dog was ill with pancreatitis, I made a decision that a can o mush with an ingredient list that read like a list of corn and soy by products as well as human food waste, I choose whole foods for healing instead. Never looked back, also as a raw feeder I have not encountered any issues dietary or otherwise. I am a sensible clean living individual with common sense and a former employee of the food industry and certainly know how to handle raw foods and clean up after myself.

If this is something you are interested in learning about, I sure hope you find the information you need to get you started without judgement or abuse. The people on these pages used to be you and know where you are coming from and all willing to lend a helping hand

You speak of judgement and abuse and yet you post things like the line I have highlighted.

If you TRULY only want to educate, then perhaps do it rather than expounding on something that I personally find to be offensive. You thumb your nose at scientific facts and slam us who live by them. THEN, you sit here and complain that we are judgemental? Come on...get real with yourself.

I will venture to say that I have had many more pups with medical issues than you have and I have not had any problems with the foods that you bash that DO WORK to save pups' lives. I am not saying that your raw food diet is not working; but please refrain from saying it is superior. Maybe in your mind it is...that's just fine; but I feed the foods you bash and I also home cook and I have very nice looking and basically healthy pups other than things that food does not cause. Food helps them live with their conditions....and that food is RX food and/or home cooked food....works for them.

Y'all cannot have it both ways.

You can not expect people to respect your opinions and not bash your way of feeding when you sit here and bash everyone else's and call every one else food names. Putting your dog on raw when they have serious medical issues a vet recommends prescription food is risky when raw it's self is already risky. Again like I asked in another post where you called dry food names would you like for me to refer to your food as bloody mushy bacteria felled grossness? Even raw feeders are against the way you call names of other peoples food choices. You can share facts and opinions but when you sink low to call names of what people feed there dogs it is just acting childish and makes it seem like what you have to say is biased and no worth reading.

I believe you just want to give resources for people maybe interested in raw feeding and think you if you wouldnt take digs at the kibble industry your threads would just stay informativee and not like the way this one has turned out. Everyone is going to go to the defense of the food they are feeding just like you would so nothing good is going to come out of the digs

Interesting thread. I probably will not feed raw but this has good information for those that want to give it a try. That being said I agree there can risks, just as there are risks with all food. Eventually I hope to feed my pup a variety of foods so she is exposed to a variety of risks :eek: I know that sounds awful but it's kind of true. I am afraid of salmonella and preservatives in Dry, afraid of cans with bpa, afraid of handling raw AND afraid of homecooked because of vitamin control.

As the title of this post clearly states "For those interested in learning more on raw feeding" which you obviously are not, so I do not understandwhy a forensic study is being done on my wording to the point you are seeing things that don't exist.

It's not only what you mention above but the sources of information and the actual information should be accurate. Otherwise it's not a resource. For example, ust a few weeks ago Teegy posted a link for BREAKING NEWS that turned out to be just a paid press release (i.e. commercial) for some dog food company. To be taken seriously you need to use reputable sources of information in the very least. If you want to be persuasive in your beliefs you should not insult other members current choice in what they are feeding by calling kibble death nuggets, cans of mush or dried pellets of nasty is a little phrase that she likes to toss around when referring to dog kibble. It's nothing short of button pushing IMO. What is supposed to be accomplished by this type of attack on the food most members of this forum feed their dogs? It's as if we are being told that we don't love our Yorkies as much as she does. Why do that? :confused:

You're just inflammatory in saying things like there is human waste in dog food. Please post a label or reference to any such food. I'll be the first to admit my mistake if the words "human waste" appear on the label. My dog also had pancreatitis but not from eating "mush" as he was fed home prepared organic food his whole life. It appears you may not know that our breed is prone to pancreatitis and that it cuts across feeding methods.
