anyone use Wellness Core grain free puppy dry kibble? been hearing things about this and wanted to check with the good people on this forum :) it comes in a brown and yellow bag. currently using royal canin yorkie puppy kibble but i heard it wasnt the best. Buddy has no fleas on him but i noticed he scratches and has watery eyes so i was wondering was it the food |
i've not implemented the Wellness Core yet, but used some wellness cans/wet food on my current Jack Russells and they love it alot. I got the dry puppy kibble for my yorkie I'll pick up soon and will see how it goes with her, but I can say that so far it's a higher quality food for them. I've heard many good things. It's a good line if you want to go grain-free. |
I feed my babies Wellness Core Small Breed and they both love it. We've been using it for over a year. |
Food allergy's are very rare your dog more then likely has environmental allergy's. Who told you Royal Canin wasn't the best? They put a lot of science into there food instead of just throwing a recipe together. Royal Canin has food trials to make sure your dog is getting everything they need. They also have vets on staff. |
thanks everyone for the replies. maybe when i finish this bag of Royal Canin i will give it a shot. also been hearing about innova food as well. the more i look at him, i think his hair is growing in and he is rubbing it to avoid getting in his eyes. |
Puppies scratch a lot, I was worried about that with my pup but using a conditioner when I bathed her helped. I think both foods are good. If you decide to change don't wait until you have finished off the bag of RC. A slow transition is best. |

thanks Wylie and Shelbys mom for the info. the more i look at him i think his hair is why hes tearing up a little but his teeth are still coming in as well so that could be it. one last question, do you guys give them water from the faucet (tap) or do you use bottled water? |
She gets the same water I drink=tap. If you are somewhere where you won't drink the water then I wouldn't give it to the dog either. |
