Dry Eye for dogs. I'm getting my new dog tomorrow and I was told he has dry eye and needs to be on Cyclosporine Eye drops for life. It isn't cheap so I started to look into it on line. I've seen some other products for Dry eye that are much cheaper. Has anyone had any experience with this? What do you recommend for those of us on a tight budget. Thanks |
If the vet is recommending cyclosporine then that's what I would use. I have a dog on it, and it runs about $25 a month. Dry eye can get worse without treatment and lead to ulcers and worse. I have another dog with very mild dry eye that doesn't need cyclosporine as her eyes produce enough tears so for her I use Genteal Ointment whenever I remember and that keeps her eyes moist. |
