Healthy alternative to NutraCal? I googled with no results. Is there a healthier version of the NutraCal? I has so many ingredients - the first one being corn syrup. I'm concerned (although Maya loves it) |
Are you using Nutri-cal to treat hypoglycemic episodes or just to help give extra calories to a picky eater? If you're using it for hypoglycemic episodes, you can also use just plain Karo syrup or honey (fewer ingredients than the Nutrical but essentially the same) in place of the the Nutri-cal and follow that with some regular food containing protein to help maintain blood sugar levels. If you're using it to supplement a diet or entice a picky eater, Nutri-cal wouldn't be my first choice because it's just sugar. This product is more like something to keep on hand just in case because it can quickly raise blood sugar in emergencies, not necessarily something to use on a regular basis. |
I use Dr.Miller's Pet Nutra Drops. |

I heard that too, so I contacted dr jean dodds and they said if I could find supporting documentation to send it to them, but I couldn't find any. If you have some please pass it along. I heard not to give it to babies under 6 months |
