Food for sensitive stomach Joel has been throwing up a few times for no reason lately, so I want to put him on a tummy sensitive food. I made an appointment for him but does anyone know a good grain free food? |
I do not know of a grain free you can use. However, my Rosie has major tummy issues. She is on Science Diet I/D. I know some people don't like SD; however, this prescription food has helped Rosie. |
How is Joel feeling now? Just checking up on him :) |
Huey throws up on any food but Blue Buffalo Freedom. He can eat the small breed adult chicken Blue Freedom — Small Breed Adult Grain Free Dog Food or the dog or the regular sized Adult Chicken Blue Freedom — Adult Chicken Grain Free Dog Food , but only the Freedom. He can't even eat the BB Basic which is for sensitive tumies or the BB Wilderness, which is also grain free. |
Thanks I think it's because he was sneaking too much of Roxys food. I haven't been letting him and he's been feeling better:) |

The problem is SD gets a bad rap BUT the prescription food has saved many pups! It has worked for my Rosie. |

I have tried many many brands for my dogs . I decided to try Science Diet Sensitive Stomach & Skin for my dogs since my cats are doing so well on SD . It is awesome . They have only been eating it about 1 week and I can already notice a difference .. No tummy rumbling or gas and they have perfect poops :) |

My vet said she she is VERY impressed visiting the facility . Very clean and high tech....they also grow their own chickens..... She also said people believe the myths that give them a bad rap but they have that AAFCO seal that guarantees balanced nutrition and that they do test their foods ....so that in itself convinced me....plus the fact seeing is believing in my fur baby feeling so much better.... |

I thought Jackson was doing great on Fromm for example but it took about a month for some little things to start popping up that I wasn't happy with. |

The food issue is making me a little crazy. My pup gobbles food so she can't have dry...vomits it right back up. She can't handle the "good" rich canned foods because she gets diarrhea. Hill's ID seems to be the only thing working. Freshpet seemed okay but the carrageenan issue had me concerned. I tried adding it to her ID again yesterday and she had dry heaves early a.m. ( I wonder if the carrageenan sets that off?) I guess I will stick with Hill's prescription but would appreciate hearing what exactly is horrible about it? suggestions for dogs with sensitive stomachs that can't eat dry? |

try Orijen or Acana, also use a digestive enzyme and a probiotic. Perhaps giving more meals in smaller portions throughout the day since she seems to have digestive issues. What about a prepared food such a http://justfoodfordogs.com/ perhaps that would be better for her |
