Vitamin Chew Recommendation? I'm thinking about starting my Girl on a daily vitamin chew - I found several options on Amazon and wondered if anyone on YT has a recommendation. Thanks in advance! |
If your dog is eating a commercial diet like kibble or canned, the food is nutritionally complete with the essential vitamins and minerals. Adding a general supplement is not necessary and may do more harm than good. |

As long as you're feeding an AAFCO certified food, the diet should be balanced. But if you do want to give a vitamin, you might check out Natures Farmacy Inc.. |
My little Girl is a little over a year old and she recently started "morning sickness", where she throws up a little puddle of white foam in the early hours of the morning. I've made sure that she has plenty of water and a snack before bed, but it doesn't seem to help. I also gave her some Pediasure (in case she was dehydrated), without luck. She's still very active and alert. Our VET suggested that I start feeding her a 1/4 tablet of PEPCID 2XDay, but I haven't started her on it yet. I've tried incorporating new kibble, but that doesn't seem to help either (although she seems to love the variety!). All top rated food. Hmmm.... |

Teddy was a skinny boy until he was 2 and has a fast metabolism. He threw up in the morning too. I started giving him 5 pieces of kibble at 11 pm and made sure he had breakfast by about 6 am. That cured his problem. A vitamin in your pup's case would probably make things worse. I have a hyperactive thyroid/fast metabolism and vitamins cause problems for me. |
