Chicken Broth with dry food Hello, I have a 3 month teacup male. I'm trying to ween him off the wet foods as dry is a better choice and the wet mostly has his stool soft. I mix in dry with wet but I need to hammer down the dry bits into a powder. Anyway, I was thinking if anyone had been just mixing the dry with a chicken broth either canned or homemade? I tried water but I think it's too bland. |
Wet food is actually better bc it has moisture (puts less strain on their kidneys)...& wetting the kibble w/water is just fine, it doesn't taste bland for them. I would avoid store bought chicken broth since most have added sodium & uses some form of onion, which is toxic to dogs. Home made broth (unseasoned) is always great! |
Thanks. I did not know about the onions in store bought broth. I it's better to boil some chicken and make your own. |
