Raw goat's milk
 
I've been hearing a lot about how good it is for dogs...not the canned or powered, only the raw. Has anyone tried it?

Mine LUB it! We've tried the raw goat's milk yogurt w/chia seeds & coconut from Steve's Real food, want to try Primal's next.

I'm interested as well . Pasteurization came about for a reason. Why would raw be better for a dog? Thanks for the info.

We've also tried The Honest Kitchen Goat's Milk w/Probiotics & Digestive Enzymes, it comes in dehydrated powder form. Just mix & serve!

One reason why dogs + raw goat's milk is that they can digest it.

Yay! So good to hear this discussion. We milked goats three out of the last four years, this spring is year five and I most definitely intend to resume. I can't say enough good things about raw goats milk, lilah should see plenty in her food this year.

I ended up buying some raw goat's milk for Ian. After it defrosted, I mixed one teaspoon of it with two tablespoons of filtered water, then used about a tablespoon of that mixture in his kibble. He loved it!
He threw up, twice within one hour, and I threw it out!:(

How kewl! Raw goat's (or raw cow's milk) milk is supposed to be awesome for those suffering from allergies &/or asthma...it cures them! Saw a documentary on it awhile back, it's amazing stuff.

Oh no, was it thawed in the fridge? Wonder if Ian ate his yummy goat milk drizzled kibble too fast & it made him throw up? I gave my guys only 1 teaspoonful ea/ of the goat's milk yogurt.

Yes, it was thawed in the fridge. Maybe Ian can tolerate the yogurt better, he loves Fage 0% plain, and Breakstone Cottage Cheese.

Mine LOVE the Fage greek yogurt too! If they get too much (my Mom will give them some too bc they'll act like they didn't get any from me loll) it makes their poopie soft. For us when it comes to any dairy product, a tiny bit (a teaspoon) is always a good amount that will not alter their stool.
