little bump above 4yr. old Yorkies tail I have a 4 yr old Yorkie,I just noticed that he has a little bump above his tail, probably about a 1/4 of an inch big. I am planning on bringing him to the vet to have it looked at,but I was just wondering what everyone might think it could be. It don't seem to bother him, he doesn't scratch or pick at it, and he acts perfectly fine, he's active, eats well, normal bowel movements, everything normal otherwise. Thanks for your help! |
I would not worry.. but have it checked as soon as you can to be sure. My bailey had a cyst.. and "fatty cyst" and when it got really large the vet removed it. Max could have a cyst, a bug bite, a ingrown hair etc. |
Thank you,I am going to get it checked out,I hope it's nothing! |
Great! My Doodlebug had a bump on his right leg and we had to have it removed when the vet called it suspicious. Glad to hear you are going to the vet. |
Could just be a little follicular or sebaceous cyst, but it's always necessary to get bumps looked at. |
yes... always have it checked. It is a great feeling when the results come back negative !!! If they are not negative you get a fast start on treatments that would be more difficult if you wait too long. |
