I have been giving Max and Sasha the Blue Bits (training treats) from day one. They both love it and we have never had a problem. I don't use their food. |
According to the package blue bits are: "made with the finest natural ingredients, have no chicken (or poultry) by product meals and are corn, wheat and soy free." That is why I chose this treat. Should I not believe them? |

The reason we switched from Blue Buffalo to Wellness Core Grain Free Small Breed is because we thought it might make Bella's eyes less watery. We haven't noticed any difference, but since she loves the Wellness Core, we haven't switched her back to Blue Buffalo. |

Thanks for sharing that... sure good to know. Phew, my Bailey is doing well. I monitor his daily 'routines' to see of any change. So far, so good. |
dog I switched my dogs from blue buffalo to wellness. They had runny stool on bb. I just didn't feel that food was right. |

I heard talk of bb using ingredients from China and to many of the life source bits have made dogs extremely sick. I would not use any of there products. |

One thing that got me to change from BB is I bought a bag of BB that didn't have ANY lifesource bits in it. All of my other bags were fine. I've also heard of people getting bags that contained nothing but lifesource bits. It looks like they have issues with ingredient blending, or at least they did in the past. For those feeding BB, if the blend doesn't look right, take it back to the store for a refund. Hopefully BB has gotten their act together by now. |
I just wish they would fix it so that the companies that stand to profit from using sub par ingredients in the first place weren't the ones in charge of ensuring pet food quality. Seems like a Fox Hen house thing to me. WHat was the outcome of the lawsuit? I just posted a thread of suggested foods and BB was one of them. I'd hate to pst something inaccurate and will make changes if the suit was proven against BB. Anyone know? |

My vets don't recommend BB so I quit feeding it. Sorry if I posted this same info in this thread. I didn't go back and read the whole thing. But I was surprised to see BB on that recommended list of food. |

My main problem with Blue Buffalo was the poor quality control. I am not happy with a company that will send food bags out that are mixed wrong. The rep said that the life source bits should be 7% or 8% of the bag. Their quality control is really lacking here if you ask me. They sent me a free bag of treats to compensate me. What about the pain my baby experienced with several days of tummy aches? And how do I know that the treat recipe was mixed correctly and it won't give my pooch a tummy ache? The rep stated that they are aware that the bags are mixed wrong when this happens. Her attitude was a flip.... "it happens". I guess they rely on the consumer to be their quality control. I returned the bag to petsmart and never bought it again. I am not happy with this company. |
