A recent example is a lawsuit filed by veterinary Hemopet, a blood blank and diagnostic testing company founded by Dr. Jean Dodds, and the pet diet manufacturer Nestle-Purina. Dr. Dodds is herself a complex character. She has done great and important work in promoting transfusion medicine and is well-regarded as an advocate and researcher, though without a traditional academic background or affiliation. She is undoubtedly a pioneer in veterinary medicine. However, like many pioneers she holds a number of views which are not compatible with a conventional medical or scientific understanding, and her accomplishments do not automatically make these views legitimate. She goes beyond the available evidence in claiming that vaccines are an established and important cause of disease (so-called vaccinosis). Her theories about thyroid disease are not generally accepted by endocrinologists, though they are widely promoted by practitioners of alternative veterinary medicine. In fact, Dr. Dodds’ ideas are quite popular with this community, and in addition to being on the board of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Foundation, she has been awarded the honor of Holistic Veterinarian of the Year. |

I'm not even going to address megansmomma posts....They don't even pertain to the conversation. I am now done with this thread. I wish the OP the best and I'm sorry it got derailed. |
Thank You I appreciate your opinions. Coco is back to normal today. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the car ride as she goes with us everywhere and never gets car sick. I do believe it was nerves 100%. Because, now that I think back, she started trembling when we got called into the room. I spoke to her and cuddled her closer into my arms and she calmed. Then when the vet walked into the room her trembling began again. Now, I have not given her the new treats today. I am going to wait a couple more days and then try them again and see how that works out. The day of the vaccine I only gave her two or her normal Blue treats(reward after shot) It was probably 2-3 hours before she got her new treats and she only got I think 2. They are very small treats, smaller than a dime in diameter. So, I know for sure I didn't give her too many treats. Nerves can cause me to have diarrhea so I'm leaning toward nerves causing her to throw up. Thank you so much for all your input. It actually caused me to think back on the day and remember about her trembling little body. Heck, I have "white coat" syndrome myself. |
Happy to read that Coco is back to herself today. Sounds like maybe it was just the anxiety of the vet visit and having a shot. |

I don't think a person will just follow 1 thing (like a cult religion), it's learning & collecting knowledge from all walks of life. P.S. I've also experience twice, allergic reactions of my pups from vaccinations...it is hella scary. No joke. Def not a myth. |

I'm not going to report you, I'd rather just talk w/you & not argue. I respect you as a member here & you've helped w/my guys when they had struvite crystals, very Thankful for that. Coincidence, I think not bc the NutriScan test has helped many dogs w/food sensitivities. It might not be for every dog, but it did work for Turbo. It was hard to do an elimination test for Turbo bc in his case, he would throw up, up to 2 days later. If I had only fed him 1 kind of food, maybe I could've figured out that was what was making him throw up. But sometimes he didn't throw up @ all. All the foods that came out as an intolerance, were all the foods/ proteins I was giving him. The only protein that gave him soft poopies was venison. Even w/the elimination test, it would've been almost impossible for me to figure it out. It was a very good investment for me, the NutriScan test. |

Point taken. Let's agree to disagree. I still don't believe in the test and as I said, I have read that the results are inconsistent and that there is zero evidence of the "theory" put forth. If you feel you made a good investment then that is all that matters. I'm thrilled that Turbo is doing well. |
