Allerderm for Dry Skin I'm so excited about this product I've been using for the past 6 weeks on Daisy. Daisy is a dog w/ allergies and atopy and her skin and coat have never been that great. Recently, her dermatologist recommended Allerderm Spot on treatment for small dogs. It goes on the skin from neck to tail as a topical preparation. It is topical lipids and is like "dog moisturizer" so it protects the skin. Daisy went from being dry, flaking and scaly to having a lush silky type of coat and supple moist skin! I've shared the news of this product with a couple of people here already but now that I've been using it for a while, I'm hooked! It's available on Amazon or through vets. I was thinking about some members whose dogs are like Daisy that might be interested so I wanted to share! |
I have been using this based upon your recommendation to Crystal - and it's now been a month. I am LOVING it! It not only helps support the skin issues, but for Marcel it's making his coat soft and more silky - which is amazing given his coat is so fine, a bit drier, and VERY prone to tangling due to texture. Allerderm really does amazing things for his coat. I get mine on ebay for about $21, but saw it on Amazon for a good price too. GREAT STUFF, thanks for discovering it and sharing about it! :) |
Mine arrived today but I didn't get a chance to use it on Max yet. I'm anxious to do so! |
Checked and can get several products here in UK. Please post more details as there seem to be pills, spot on lotions and all over potions..... |
It's the spot on under 20 lbs. it comes in a 2ml pipettes and it's a package of 6 |

Ok, thank you can get that one sorted. |
When you say "neck to tail" do you mean all over the body or just the top/backside? I have one very itchy yorkie and another that is somewhat itchy. I just want to be sure to apply it correctly since with two needing to use it, I will need to be frugal but correct in application. |

So how often do you apply? Since one of the six applications takes care of your two pups, I'm thinking it won't last very long if you use it daily.... |

OK I'm sold...just placed an order. Going to try this on George! His hair and skin are dry lately....this always happens when he has periods of increased itching. I have to bathe him 2 - 3 times/week with his shampoo and he so hates it. Maybe this will help cut the baths down to once/week. I surely hope so. |

I'm on the second week of a half dose for daisy and I think she did better on the full. She's 7 or 7.5 lbs. |
So you don't then spread it all over the body... Just down the back. Do you rub it in? I have ordered it so hopefully it has directions. |

The girls have been using this for two weeks and they are still scratching. Maybe not as much but I'm still anxiously waiting for it to kick in...directions say that you can apply more than once a week and I' m wondering if I need to try that. |
I got mine and did the first application this past week. Hoping it will help! |
I've been using it a while now. I split one dose and she went downhill over those two weeks. So last week, I have her a medicated bath and reapplied a whole dose and she's back to shining like a mink coat. But it's high time for allergies here so she's back on daily Atopica. Hard to say what works entirely for Daisy as she needs the whole "cocktail" but I do really love the allerderm :) |
