Yorkie sensitive stomach I have a 5 year old yorkie that has developed a very sensitive stomach. In the past I have put him on probiotics and that seemed to do the trick. This past couple of days he has been vomiting on occasion and has very loose stools. I have put him on a bland diet of white rice and boiled chicken along with the probiotics and the loose stools have seemed to stop for now. This morning he got up and vomited. He isn't interested in eating this morning but did manage to eat a icecube. Have any of you used pedialyte or gatorade to keep your yorkie hydrated. He isn't acting like he is sick (still chasing his toys around) and his nose is cold and wet but he isn't eating or drinking water other than ice cubes. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |
I'd want to get this kiddo to the vet if it were me. Inappetence in a dog is a sign something is definitely wrong and it sounds like your kiddo has had this for awhile. I'd consult w/ a vet about possible IBD or something - and there are prescription meds that could really help with this. What are you feeding him? Have you tried a different protein/carb source? |
