Anxiety Medication My vet put Oscar on anxiety medication any time Oscar gets stressed. Just ask g if any of your Yorkies are on some sort of anxiety medication. They gave Oscar this after is long stint with HGE. |
I use one three times a year. Fourth of July, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Fireworks make him nuts. I have a Thunder Shirt but it doesn't work so well for Cooper. I'm sure it works for others but not so much for him. |
After Cali was attacked by a hawk we had anxiety issues of all kinds. I used liquid Xanax and works great. Don't have to use it as much now, but sometimes on a long trip she imagines that the big tall semi trailers are big hawks coming after her so I use it. It works fast and drops off easy. |
Have you tried rescue remedy from |
I used a pill once for anxiety, (I can't remember the name, but I know I posted about it here) but he threw it up within 20 minutes. We use a thunder shirt once in a while now. He tends to get anxious during car rides. |
Pixie has developed a lot of anxiety issues like thunder, rain etc. I have a thunder shirt for her that helps some. I also have Xanax if she gets real stressed. I had her on an antidepressant similar to prozac but I didn't want her on something all the time. |
Callie broke one of her teeth in her crate last year and then became afraid of my room and bedtime so she was pant and pace the whole time she was in my bedroom. I tried every thing natural and giving her treats for going in there, new crate and so on but nothing worked so I took her to the vet and asked her to please make sure it was nothing physical like her being sick or something and she checked out fine. So I explained everything to my vet and she recommend an anxiety medicine and went to look and do more research in the back for which one and came back with info on reconcile. Callie went on it at first it was to much and she was a zombie so we went to a lower dose and it helped and she was able to go to bed in her crate at night and after a few months we took her off of it and now there is no problems. |
