Is there something going around?
 
Starting last night, TeeJay has had diarrhea and he's also been vomiting. This has continued up to today. I've already scheduled him an appointment to have him seen by his vet. When I called to make the appointment, the receptionist told me that there was something going around. So I'm a bit curious. Has anybody heard of anything that's going around? I live in S. Florida, so I dont know if this pertains to dogs that live around my area. I pray that it's nothing serious and it's just something bad that he ate. I'll update you guys after his appointment today when I get more information.

Sorry to hear your baby is sick. Hope he'll get better soon.

I live in West Central Florida & I don't know of anything around here but I kind of hybernate myself.

What brand of dog food are you feeding him?

He's a picky eater. He only likes Eukanuba, so that's what I give him.

Dixie started with diarrhea this morning twice. No blood, consistancy of pudding (sorry if I offend anyone with the details). She has thrown up once, consistancy of oatmeal - her meal from last night? Partially digested? A little listless today, but still alert and curious to sounds. I will give her some rice to see if that helps with the diarrhea. If she throws it up I will have her fast for 24 hours to give her system a rest. She is well hydrated and so far is able to keep water down. My eskie threw up twice yesterday, but is fine today. Must be some bug that's going around or maybe the stress from the holidays catching up to them. I hope your baby feels better soon. Let us know how it goes at your vet visit.

I don't know what is going on! I have heard on a lot of different forums that these symptoms are showing up! I have a friend in FL too and her dog had the same thing. Her is the link that she sent me and I guess this is what her dog has. http://yorkieviews.com/hge.htm I'ts call HGE and it's a bacterial infection. It's worth reading and it's not too long. I've saved it in my favorites for reference...

My baby has the samething. I was thinking that it was because of the antibiotics that she's on because of Kennel Cough. I also live in S. FLorida so I'm hoping that there is nothing bad going around.
