Indigestion, bloody stool, doesn't eat My 6 yr old t cup yorkee has ongoing indigestion issues with bloody stools, not eating, very unhappy. We've changed to number of diets but nothing seems to work for good. She's on a grain free dry food by Fromm-bird game that worked for a while but doesn't anymore, don't know what else to rule out. Vets can't did the reason for her issues either, thought she may have food allergies. She's taking daily vitamins and probiotics but no help. She had x rays, blood work done number of times but nothing is revealing the reasoning for her condition. Please help!!! Any suggestions are appreciated!!!! |
I suggest taking her to a vet school for a workup... soon as dehydration can be deadly. Home cooked chicken with white rice and/or baby food meat only (chicken is best) for times when she's having issues. |
Have you had her checked for coccidia? My little girl had it when she was rescued and that's what it ended up being. She had a bout with bloody stool before I started her on a raw diet and we have had no problems since. |
My old boy bailie had bloody diorreah and it was gastroenteritis due to a couple of pieces of stewed steak , he never got that again, |
Have you taken her to the vet recently? I was reading your other post and I think she needs to be seen if there is blood present. Have you considered consulting a nutritionist if it's not medical? We have had lots of issues with Rosie's tummy and now have her on a good diet. I recommend Dr Remillard at petdiets.com. She has been great in communicating with me. I home cook for Rosie and it has worked well for her. |
If there's blood in the stool she needs to be seen by a vet immediately. |
