Ordered some Grandma Lucy's All grain free...Rabbit, Goat & Lamb. I like that the Pureformance lines do not have potatoes. I hope my guys like it...I think they will! Anyone else feed Grandma Lucy's? Any reviews appreciated! |
I've been feeding Grandma Lucy's Artisan for a couple years. I feed it with their morning kibble. I did have a bag of the Pureformance when it first came out, but it seemed to make the poo a bit softer, although it might have been their kibble. They used to have a day or 2 a week with runny poo, but since switching kibble they have been great, so I've been thinking of trying the Pureformance again. |
Is the rabbit sourced in the US, last I checked rabbit was a china-sourced ingredient. You might want to check. Haven't heard of Grandma or her food. |
Oh no, I hope mine will be ok & not have the runs:eek: loll! I figure this food is similar to The Honest Kitchen, except this is freeze dried, not dehydrated. They did well on THK...I just never tried Grandma Lucy's bc it has pumpkin in it & I thought Turbo was intolerant of pumpkin. He does fine w/pumpkin seeds in Primal, so hopefully he'll be ok w/this. The consistency is so WEIRD! Mimi won't touch it...maybe it's the rosemary, it has a strange smell, but kinda smells like real food. The other 3 love it, but scared the crap out of me when Turbo ate it...the whole thing went in his mouth, 2 tablespoons full! It's such a weird tacky consistency, sticky doughy that doesn't come apart. I had to hand feed Princess. She kept licking it & moving the blob to the other side of the bowl loll! I'll probably have to play around w/the water, maybe add more (thinking that will make it slimy)? IDK, not gonna recommend or buy. The only solution I have @ the mo is to mix it w/their moistened kibble to give it a better texture so they can actually eat it. |

I got a sample from the local pet store and Sadity loved it. I haven't decided if I want to purchase some. The sample I had was the chicken. You mix it with water and let it sit for 3-5 mins then serve it to your baby. It smells like real food and I could see the pieces of chicken, carrots and celery in it. I say try it. You can even order the sample bag off the site . |
