What is a good age to neuter your pup? Rambo is just turned 3 months and he has been humping his favorite stuff animal for about 2-3 weeks. I have a vet appointment this week to get another round of shots. Also a friend of mine told me that around 3 or 4 months I should put my baby on regular dog food and not feed him the puppy food anymore? Is this true? |

Six months is the age most people get them neutered. As far as changing from puppy food to adult food 3 months is too young. Ask your vet when to change. They all have their own opinions on this. Mine said 12 months but other people on here had vets that said 6 months. |

While at the vet this morning he said 5 to 6 months is a good age to have her fixed and he will microchip her while she is under the gas so the chip is less painful going in. He is even going to discount the microchip procedure since it is easier to put in with her asleep. Good luck.... Izzy Bella's Momma |

First, 3 or 4 months is to young to change over to adult food and most vets will recommend 12 months but check with yours. Another thing you want to have done when your dog is getting neutered is to have them check their teeth and if there are still puppy teeth in their mouth they can remove them. Just because you have your dog neutered is no quarantee that he will stop humping his pillow. There are lots of reasons why they do it :D but it does seem to slow down with the neuter. |

We just had Tiger neutered this past Friday, Dec. 30th. He is 6 months. Today, he is still humping his favorite toys! Go figure! |
