My Yorkie doesn't seem like himself today. He hasn't played & won't each much at all today. His tail has been down, & he doesn't seem to have much energy. Is it possible that he's getting sick? He hasn't vomited or anything, so far. I'm just worried about him. |
Poor pumpkin. He could be getting something. Maybe try to feed him a little boiled chicken?? How is he doing now? If he hasn't improved I would take him in for an exam.. |
He finally ate something, so he seems to be doing a little better. I'm going to monitor him for the rest of the day, hopefully he'll continue to feel better. If not, we'll definitely make a trip to the vet. Thanks for the response! :) |
I was also thinking ( if he hasn't ate much today) he could have low blood sugar, that is great that he ate.. try to feed him again in 10 mins and then try again in another 10. Do you have any nutrical? |

Hah..I just noticed that I said "each" instead of eat. :yelrotflm But he seems to be getting better by the minute. I just fed him again, & his normal energy is returning. His tail is also up & he seems a lot happier. :) I don't have any Nutrical, but I just looked it up. Should I get some in case something like this happens in the future? |
Maybe he's got a bit of a bug or ate something in the yard that's kind of got him wonky. Be sure he's got some nutrition, some Nutrical or corn syrup or something if he refuses food again and be sure he's drinking, peeing, pottying. If he's still lethargic tomorrow morning, I'd get a vet check to be safe, sooner if he begins vomiting, diarrhea, shivering, yelping or you can't rouse him, etc. If he's very young, they can go down in such a hurry. Poor baby, I'm hoping tonight he is better and by tomorrow, he's back to his old self. |
