Would you say that turbo has a sensitive stomach then? Or allergies? | I'm not sure, but most dogs are not allergic to food, only about 9-10% are. He never got sore itchy spots/ hot spots or loss of hair or anything allergy related like that. He def doesn't have a sensitive stomach bc he loves food & will eat anything I put in front of him. He has a very good appetite, not picky @ all.
He did have food intolerance/ sensitivity & his 'thing' was throwing up. His poopies were always formed & firm but a lot of it. Sometimes we would joke that it looks like a pile human poop. Then I realized that something is not quite right, a little 6# dog cannot be pooping that much. What he wasn't vomiting, he was pooping out.
He was getting skinny, he went from 6#'s down to 5#'s, 1# is a lot for these small dogs. I can feel all his ribs & back bone, that's when I did all the other tests, like BATs, diabetes, xrays, numerous blood tests & urinalysis, etc. Everything came back w/in Normal Limits, "excellent" is the word the vets would use.
I was wondering if there was a test for food intolerance since there are tests for allergies & Wanda had posted about NutriScan. We are 4ever grateful.:D:animal-pa |
