Cottage cheese Bella is pregnant (due on the 28th of this month) and right now, I would at least like her to eat 3 meals a day.She has always been a terrible eater, just picking around at her food and not eating much, and I do not want her doing that now that she is expecting. I was recomended to mix her kibble (Royal canin mother and baby dog) with a small teaspoon of cottage cheese, so I did this today and she LOVED it! Is it ok to do this for all 3 meals? |
well she may get sick of it...but if she likes it and your vet approves...? i would just monitor and be sure she doenst get tummy issues if more than once a day is too much. did you try peas or other veggies she loves mashed up in her kibble. i also use baby food as they ingredients are usually good (i check) and mine love that to help mix it up once in a while. |
Do not supplement calcium during pregnancy. It can cause uterine inertia. I wouldn't feed baby food due to the sodium level. I'd suggest adding a high quality canned dog food. |

I do understand that things are done differently here, but why would my vet not know that? |
