Should it be refrigerated? I got my puppy yesterday and the only thing I have been able to get her to eat was the canned Blue Buffalo Freedom food. Does it need to be refrigerated since she can't eat all at once? Also is it ok if she only eats this? Her breeder had her on the Blue Buffalo kibble but I can't get her to eat it even if I cut it and mix it with the canned. I'm hoping to eventually switch to raw food. |
Yes, the canned needs to refrigerated once it is open. Like other foods, probably is only good for 3 - 4 days. New puppies will often resist eating when adjusting to a new home. Try hand-feeding. I had to hand feed and play games with Max to get him excited about his food. Congratulations on your new baby! |
Yes, then set it out about 30 minutes before feeding to allow it to come to room temp, or add some boiled water for a quicker warm up, but check the temp before feeding it and stir it well. |
