I won't use their products either. My DIL had a rash all over her tummy when she was pregnant from using one of their lotions. The rash lasted for two weeks! Itched like crazy...poor thing was miserable. After that, I spoke to others who had problems with them or know of others who did.

hi there DERMOPT shampoo is new on amazon it also does a leave in which I think is brilliant too, it says it the same as malaseb from vets , and you don't need a prescription, my mums bichon suffers with skin problems and she uses this and says its great , :)

Bummer. They sent me the wrong one so will need to re-order.

The one they sent isantiparasitic & antiseborrheic with coal tar salicylic acid & micronised sulfur.

Will check back in when the right one comes.

Ugh, how frustrating! I've now used this shampoo a second time on Wylie and wow, still loving it. He's SO soft, his skin seems 'calmer', and he's not getting oily on his coat.

Thank you all for this post, Problem is solved! Their coat is so much softer and skin is so much better (have used this twice now).. Happy Doggies, Happy mommy :p

I saw your thread a couple weeks ago Ann and haven't had a chance to chime in with my review. I ordered it because of Jada and now poor Bogie both have seasonal allergies along with Jada's food allergies.
I have used it twice and it seems to be working. Bogie is still a little itchy but not like he was before.

Ann, what is the name of the shampoo you are using? Your original link doesn't work now -- maybe the retailer sold out because of your post. :D I have a friend who wants to try the shampoo.

Has anyone used Atopica for itchy skin.My baby girl is so itchy Benedryl didn't help. Vet gave me Atopica today didn't like side effects I read. Thanks for any info. I'd appreciate it.

Well, darn, I hope they get it back in stock! It was this one: SynergyLabs VF Clinical Care Antifungal & Antiseptic Medicated Shampoo.

Here are some other products on Amazon by the same company, some of which also look good for skin/itchies/allergies/etc (the 1st one listed looks similar to my original one, kinda): Amazon.com: SynergyLabs VF

Atopica was a miracle for my Marcel, who used to wake up at 1am to chew/lick his paws. He does awesome on it!

The first one was the one they sent me accidentally, I gave it a go anyway as when Alfie first started itching we used a coal tar based cream on him that helped. I think it is as good as the prescription shampoos we use and I really think his skin seemed quite a bit cooler after using it which I think is a good sign. I reordered the original but it hasn't arrived yet.

I didn't get a conditioner, but I bet their conditioners are really nice too. Actually, I may get one esp for Marcel bc he can tend to tangle.

Thank you for the name of the shampoo. I have been sharing it and your good report with a lot of people who have been struggling to help their pups.

I bought the shampoo and a conditioner. The conditioner turned out to be hot spot and itch relief...I did not think that was what I ordered. I need to go look...BUT a friend of mine found a pup in Houston this week and the poor thing has miserable skin. She used the conditioner on her last night and said she felt it reduced her itching!! It has a steroid and lidocaine in it.

I am going to try both on one of my itchy fosters who is not doing as well on the Zymox as my George.
