Canine Caviar Ordered Ok, I just placed an order through chewy.com I ordered Coco the lamb & pearl millet. I'm so excited. I really hope she will LOVE this food. She was on I think Iams that her previous owner had her on but I am not a fan of Iams. So, I put her on RC and she seemed to like it better than her other food but just didn't seem to me that she really enjoyed it that much. So, I started to transition her into Blue Wilderness. She picked that out of the RC. But, she only seems to eat it because that's all that she is offered. So, I thought maybe there is something out there that she will really LOVE. After reading on this forum and believe me I ask a lot of questions, I decided to order online the CC. I'm really not a fan of ordering dog food online. But, in my case there is no store around here that sells CC. So, hopefully this Saturday I will have her new food to start the transition. Although, if she did like before she will just pick out the CC;) |
We started our Princess Sophie on Canine Caviar - puppy as soon as we got her home from the breeder (9 weeks due to breeder not feeding good food) and she loves it and we are very happy to see how well she is growing now that she's almost 9 months old. Lots of energy, beautiful coat, etc. I think you and your pup will be very happy on the CC. P.S. Because CC is such a good food, there is no need to do a "transition" from the old to the new. You can start her on it completely at once. |
Yeay! Hopefully she will love it. Peanut’s favorite CC is the Open Sky. This is the duck. He has been on the Open Sky for about 9 months and is doing fantastic. |

It really depends on how sensitive your pup's tummy is. IMO I would alway try mixing old with new, if he eats out all the new food and has no issues then it will be ok to switch cold turkey. |
CC CC came in yesterday afternoon and Coco had her first try it at last night. She ate it right up. This morning after our walk, I put some in her bowl and again she gobbled it right up. I love the fact that it is small bites and I think she likes it too. She did eat the Blue Wilderness but I don't think she enjoyed the size for one thing. Plus, I did notice that she was really putting off the gas and that was not too enjoyable for me especially at bedtime when she right up next to me sleeping.:eek: |

I don't know anything about the Orijen food. You can tell if you read all the info on the packaging. I did that on the CC and went to the mfg for additional info. |
I've tried and tried and tried the CC but it doesn't work for my girls. First off they hated it wouldn't touch it for nothing, I finally put some chicken broth on it but after a few days they still wouldn't eat it so I started putting a bit of wet food on it..finally they were eating it but then Mia got the real loose stools and Mini broke out in a rash...mine are the exception I guess. This was my second try and a different flavor when I gave up. They now eat home cooked and "Holistic Select" no problem! They even ask for their breakfast and dinner now! |

I just ordered canine caviar and my puppy loves it so far. It's Herring flavor. |

My boys love CC! They like the Venison and the Duck Grain Free best so far. I want to try the others kinds now that a store near me carries different kinds of CC. Right now we are on RC Yorkie 28 as part of their rotation cuz they love the coating on it :) Mickey can be picky. But this stuff keeps his interest so far. |

No, no the Blue Wilderness was causing the gas. Sorry if I said that wrong |
