How soon can I bath my yorkie baby 2 Attachment(s) We are brining home our new Maggie and the last time we brought home a Yorkie baby he did not smell that good.... Just wondering how soon we can bath her? |
I got Hayley at 7 weeks and bathed her soon as I got her home with baby magic baby bath smells great and no tears |
Just make sure that you dry her EXTREMELY well or else she'll get chilled and then sick. Also, have you gotten your tube of Nutrical yet? |
Good advice already given, but I would only add that you be careful if you use a hand hairdryer not to scare her with it. I bathed Kip right away when I got her too and wanted her to get used to baths right away. Go slow with hairdryers and don't get too close and in the face for awhile, but DO dry her. |
Cotton balls You can put cotton balls in the ear canals so the water doesnt get in em |
Thanks all I brought home our first yorkie (Parker) who has passed away, and when i bathed him he shook and shook and i could not get him to calm down. So that is why i am a little concerned. I will definatly go slow with a blow dryer, and use the cotton balls. Thanks for the advice on the bathing soap. But i do not know what nutrical is? Can you help me out there? Again thanks for the help |
When we got Gidget the breeder had already bathed and blowdryed her! So I waited a week and half before giving her another one! But if when I had gottten her she didn't smell good, I would have given her a bath that day! And the breeder washed her with dawn dishwashing liquid! She said all of her show dogs are washed with that! I don't wash her with that though! Just thought that seemed a little funny! LOL! Your new baby is beautiful! |
I bathed both of my dogs when I brought them home. I used a puppy tearless shampoo. |
 i dont think the dishwashing soap is a good idea. i doubt its the right ph for ur puppys skin. I use a tearless puppy shampoo with no scent or color beccause i heard their skin can dry out or they can get an irritation and didnt want to take any chances. :p |
