Lotus canned food? Have any of you had any experiences with this canned food? My local pet store started carrying some new brands to replace their Natura products involved in that huge recall. The Lotus canned varieties are grain-free and have no carrageenan, guar gum, or xanthan gum...it looked similar to Weruva so I grabbed a couple of each type for Toki to try. I'm trying to give her more canned/wet food but it's hard to find varieties locally without questionable ingredients from quality companies. I can't really find too many reviews on Lotus foods in general so hopefully some of you all have used them and can give some feedback. LOTUS Natural Food For Pets |
Hmm I have not heard of it, but it wouldn't hurt to try. |
Looks good. I am feeding Weruva but it is pricey with feeding 3 of them. |
Lotus is great imo. I read somewhere that they searched and searched for a cannery to manufacture their wet food at, but none were up to par in their opinion, so they just decided to make their own cannery! One of the few canned foods not made by some big company making gazillions of different foods. |
Looks good. Let us know how it works out for you |
Looks good, ingredient wise. Is the pumpkin in chunks? Bc Turbo is intolerant of pumpkin, so I need to pick it out for him, been doing that for Weruva. How you do your guys like it? Quote:

My puppy currently keep having gunky and teary eyes. I have read that Fromm foods can have this effect on some yorkies. Even though I love this brand, I am going to try different canned foods and will see if it helps with her eyes. Lotus and werruva are the ones that I decided to go with first. |

I think it is good, I feed weruva one of the canned foods that does not have bpa stuff in the cans |
My Milana hated Lotus - she would not touch it and she usually loves canned food. But she loved Weruva and her eye drainage and tearing are getting better. So I am sticking with canned Weruva and Canine Caviar for dry food. |
I'm late to the Lotus party. Kaji was on Lotus for at least a year before we switched. I think it's awesome food, and switched only because Kaji has a tendency of swallowing his food whole. Dry Lotus comes in big cookie forms, not big enough to make him chew, but big enough. It scared me to death to watch him try to swallow Lotus kibble whole. I switched to something with smaller bites. Otherwise, I would have kept Kaji on Lotus. It's awesome food. :) |
I personally know the makers of Lotus, and can attest to their quality. Unfortunately, they still don't have distribution in Texas, so Weruva is a great way to go. Look into Ziwi Peak as well. Great balanced diet. Against the Grain is a very well priced can as well. |
