food stuck between puppy teeth and adult teeth My Daisy is 7 months now and her adult canines are coming in but they havent pushed out the puppy canines yet. I brush her teeth daily however she each time I go to brush her teeth there is a weird greenish/grey buildup between her teeth (just between the canines). I can brush them pretty good but I still feel like there is some like in between? Should I try to floss her somehow? or just wait until they puppy ones fall out so I can brush the adult ones really good? Also she lets me brush the front and side teeth really well but wont let me get to the back ones.. sometimes I can with my finger and toothpaste get to the back ones. But never with the finger brush and she freaks out and runs away from me.. Thank you in advance for your advice. |
Sometimes they don't come out on their own. I'd definitely have them removed when you get her spayed if you haven't done so already. Both Teddy and Toki had to have them removed...those baby canines weren't budging! |
Your probably going to have to have them removed a lot of people just do that when there pup is getting fixed. |
Uni had a double canine stuck on her left side. I did floss it and she didn't mind. I used one of those plastic toothpick ones shaped like a stick with a U at the end. But the stain never did come out. NOt until I got her spayed and the vet took the baby one out and cleaned the adult one too. |
Thanks yeah they took a couple teeth when I had her spayed however they left her canines because they said the adult ones would push these out. I suppose I will wait a little longer before taking her to the vet I'm just a little concerned with her building plaque between them. I will definatly give those U shaped flossers a try though.... If I can get her to hold still long enough :) |
My boy had to have his pulled at 8 months because his adults were in but baby did not fall out. |
