Natura Expands Recall To ALL foods I was in our local pet store today and noticed they were taking all of the Innova, Cali Natural, etc, off the shelf. Got home and googled, and yup, they are recalling all food. All DRY dog and cat food for dates between April 1st, 2013 and March 24, 2014. Canned and Mother Nature are NOT affected. Only kibble dry and treats of EVO, Innova, Cal Nat and Healthwise. Natura Pet Expands Voluntary Recall of Dry Pet Foods Due to Possible Health Risk - WSJ.com |
WOW!! I was scared when there were a few varieties of the California Natural on the previous recall. I sent samples of my bag of California Natural sweet Potato and Venison to an independent lab..thank goodness their kibble came back negative for any bacteria. I swear when this bag is eaten I may just bite the bullet and home cook...now to find a supplier for venison. |
:eek: Wowzers! |
I have a feeling this is going to be hard for them to come back from.... I am sure they will lose lots of customers. Such a shame too. They WERE such a great company. |
Yikes! :eek::eek: |
I was just telling a vet friend about this. And she 'may' have an affected patient... I'm sure many animals are even if not reported. |
Recall OMG, scary! All those foods, must be a major issue. Sorry for all who feed these. |
I took my bag back after the initial recall even though it wasn't in the first recall batch. I used it for so long but decided to switch to Weruva canned and Fromms kibble for now. |
Bump... |
Who knows of a good limited ingredient food, no grains and venison formula. That is the only food that Jada thrives on. I had to switch her from Natural Balance sweet potato and venison when the big Diamond recalls happened last year. California Natural was the only thing I found when searching back then. She has done better on this kibble than any other I have tried.. I need help!! No chicken and no fish..she has issues with both and with grain. |
You can always do a hydrolyzed diet if you can't find one.:) Or how about Rayne? |

As for Natural Balance - not sure if Diamond still makes their food. I would email them. |
I emailed Annamaet and they are sending me samples of their variety for allergy dogs. I will have to check out the CC. |
