treats what is a good treat to offer yorkie puppies when training them or just in general? i don't really want to make them. |
I use Cheerios bc low fat and they can eat many without filling up. |
Mine is picky and will only pay attention to training if I use boiled chicken or cheese. For basic praises, I use Cheerios or dry kibble. |
I like cloud star, blue buffalo, and cheerios. |
seems cheerios is a popular choice. i'll give them a try :) thanks |
We used plain Cheerios and Zuke's Mini Naturals (they always liked the chicken ones best). |
Shouldn't puppies have a grain-free diet? |
^ No, most dogs do not need grain-free. I like it for my dog, but even he gets occasional treats that are not grainfree. Some dogs may have more sensitivities than others. But, no, canines as a species do NOT need grain free. I like Cloud Star treats the best. We use the soft n' chewy Buddy Biscuits. He loves them, they are low in fat, easy to break up. My boy won't take things like cheerios if we are training. He will share them with me if I'm eating a bowl of plain cheerios at night, but if we're training, he spits them out, like 'you want me to work for THIS?!' hahaha. When we're doing agility training or need high-value rewards (for recall, etc), I use plain chicken or string cheese. |
Ok good, cause at some point we were under impression that they are not allowed to haev grain AT ALL! And my fiance wouldn't let me give him anything that has grain, although I would tell him to relax since I'm sure a little piece of bread wouldn't kill him lol |
