No debate. Just thought I would give you my experience. Once I was told that. It all made sense to me.! |

The kickback they get is actually quite small, just so you know. It's not a big money maker. I think some vets may recommend it for profit (while concurrently believing in the food) and some may recommend it more for prescription diet / specialty issues. There are many dogs on here who wouldn't be alive if it weren't for some of their prescription diets. They do have some very novel Rx diets that are key to some dogs being able to survive. So, I think for that alone - they do deserve some kudos for researching and developing the more novel diets. Btw, I should maybe say that I don't feed SD and never have - so I'm not promoting it bc I feed it. I actually feed premade raw. But if my dog had an issue and SD had the only solution, I would def feed it! :) |

Of course me Im always the skeptical one.. hehe ;) |
dog I am so happy that I am not the only one very concerned about my Yorkies food. Mine need a change from Blue but I am so puzzled as to what to go to. RC seems to have the grains and my Spud cannot gain any weight. I have been studying the foods on line. Seems lots of people like RC. It is not a 4 star food but if it is good for the dog ok. Hills I question. Vets carry it yet I am not convinced it is that good. I will keep searching and reading what you all recommend. |

Thanks Ann. I truly believe it saved Rosie's life. I don't think my vet is getting rich off it. Or he wouldn't have been ok with me home cooking as well. I think he would have pushed the SD. Ladyjane also has seen Hills do well for certain dogs if I remember correctly. Buffy512, I felt the same way you did about it. Until I truly needed to keep my girl well. I understand being skeptical. However, just keep in mind that it all boils down to what is best for your pup. |
Very True. I wonder if anyone has tried the deli fresh line. They do offer a grain free line called vital I believe. Something similar to home cooked meal ingredients. It has great reviews. As I haven't looked into it too much. I was recommended by a good friend who owns a healthy pet store to give Fromm Gold a go. So maybe I shall. && I am fond of SD prescription food && would purchase in a heartbeat if needed. They seem to be getting better. As the original was corn being a main ingredient which always made me shake my head in disbelief. It hasn't been till not too long ago they attempted improvements. No offense. I just would love to inform or provide my experience. If it helps. Great. If someone did the same for me to educate me. I would do nothing but appreciate. Thanks to all. Xoxo. Were all here to give the best to our babies.!!! |
