Not eating !! I bought an eleven week old tiny tiny Yorkie yesterday afternoon , now it's 4:pm the next day, & she still haven't eaten!!:-((. I'm really worried !:-((Is there something I can do ?? To get her started ?? I've my tied hand Feeding her , but no go !! Please help. |
Are u using the same food as she had been used to eating? Maybe Try some chicken broth or some boiled chicken. She has to eat or she can get hypoglycemia. Do you have any nutrical? Hopefully some more experienced posters will give suggestions soon. |
I'd be boiling plain chicken breast & soak the kibble in the broth that the chicken was boiled in, shred some chicken on top & feed it to her. She needs to be eating! Sometimes when their sugar goes down, they don't eat...you need to syringe feed her or open her mouth & stuff little bit of food into it. Close her mouth so she swallows. Once she gets a taste, she'll start eating. She should not go too long w/out eating @ such a young age. Please give us an update... |
Hopefully you were able to get her to eat. If not she needs nutrical and a vet visit as soon as possible. I almost lost Cali when I got her as she would not eat. The only food I could get her to eat was Cesar's canned food. I had to feed her every 3-4 hours even during the night. Please keep us posted. |
Not Eating I had the same problem with mine Took Teddy Bear to the vet- and they fed him some of their can food and he started eating- Yorkie's are such a nervous creatures- Anyhow Teddy Bear came home after that and has been fine- except for a case of tonsilltis. |
