Bully sticks My girl would eat the whole thing in a night if we let her. I get her the spiral kind that is supposed to clean the teeth as well. I'm wondering how much is too much? |
I don't use the spiral kind; I've heard too many people say that their dogs eat them too fast. I think they are more for puppies are ultra-tiny dogs. I don't use Bully sticks as a food item, but as a chewing item a substitute for bones. I really think dogs need to chew and my two chew about an hour a night while I'm holding their sticks. A 6 inch bully lasts over a week, so they are eating less than an inch a night. My boys can chew as long as they want, but seem to tire after about an hour. |
I have to go and take the bully away from Mandie. She's like yours..she would eat it all in one sitting if I let her. She loves a bully!! I am enough of a Mommy to admit that when I want her to calm down for a bit..I hand her a bully LOL I didn't see her for an hour and a half last night. Again, had to go take it from her so she'd actually drink some water and eat her real food. |
Here is a really dumb question... What are bully sticks??? LOL Is that a name brand? I have never seen them before, but keep reading about them in the forum. |

Careful with Bully Sticks, sometimes the carry bacteria and can upset your dog's tummy. |

I buy ours from Bestbullysticks.com and I always take them away after a certain amount of time and put them in the fridge in a ziplock. Then I rinse them off with water when I get them out again and before giving back to my pups. |
