Hyper-Ventilate,what to do? Our 4lb yorkie is 10 months old. We have had her for one month, before that she has been in a kennel all her life. We have her all most potty trained. The only concern we have is she hyper-ventilated when she gets real excited. Is this normal? Is there something we can do to solve this problem? She will not eat in the morning and some times throwers up yellow fluid? Richard |

The yellow bile is from nothing in his little tummy. Sometimes even a snack before bedtime helps this. The other problem sounds like CT. Needs to be checked out and know what you are dealing with. One of ours has collasped treachea and is nothing to play around with. Its a terrible disease and as the other poster said, a harness and nothing around the neck area helps. Keeping him cool, weight down, and we put a fan and run a humidifer on Kayla at night. Helps her breathe better. Also rubbing very gently up and down the treachea helps too during an episonde. Good luck and I hope you will not be dealing with CT. |
chachi does this when he gets too excited and its reverse sneezing. We just tell him to calm down |
Hi and Welcome to YT! Have you owned dogs before or is this your first? I'm thinking is she panting, reverse sneezing, coughing, or in distress? Here's a link to help you evaluate what your pup may be doing: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/die...d-trachea.html Hope this helps... |
Frimousse does this when she gets very excited . |
She has never had a collar on, just a harness. From the videos, it looks like she has reverse sneezing. When she runs around and excesses she don't do it, just when she gets excited. She did not do it for a week after we got her. Thank you for the information. Richard |
