Dog treats What are the best treats to use? I recently went to pet smart and one of the workers referred me to bill jac's liver treats and Dior doesn't like them and won't eat them so next I tried these little peanut butter treats and she won't eat those either....PLEASE HELP |
I just saw a Canine nutritionist as Buster was chewing on his paws and scratching and I found out the treats I was feeding had grains, sugar, and salt in them. Heree is what he recommended. I failed with treats so much of what I fed fed the fungus. The ingedients that fed the fungus were potato, tapioca, wheat flour, ground barley, malted barley, oats, rice basically all flour, grain etc. I also fed sugars sorbitol, molasses, glycerine, dextrose, and honey. Brewers yeast, nutrional yeast, whey protein (cancerous) all feed the fungus. For the treats he did recommend he said to look for one’s that are basically one meat ingredient. He suggested Primal liver munchies, most Primal treats but not the ones with honey. Stella and Chewy’s Carnivore Crunch, and Wholelife freeze dried chicken. Buster’s doesn’t like the flakey texture. We did get and Buster LOVES Bixbi Jerky, Chicken Breast slices from EandFPetsupplies.com and Honest Kitchen Beams which are pure icelandic catfish skin stick. |
Be careful to make sure all treats are made in the US. I like cloud star, zukes, and blue buffalo. |
I like CET chews (get them at Amazon, not at the vet; vet's charge crazy amounts for them), the fish treats from Honest Kitchen, and RMBs (raw meaty bones; bison back ribs to be specific). |
Buy a dehydrator and make your own homemade jerky treats. Mine love their chicken strips. It only takes a few hours to make a batch. |

Mine mostly eat vegetables as snacks but once a day they have a cookie. I feed them Fruitables and they like the pecan flavor. |
Stella and Chew'ys freeze dried treats!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!:animal36 Drake will eat these even if he's not feeling well. All of their food is beyond excellent (NOT CHEAP) and has been a blessing to us and our picky eater. Google Stella & Chewy's dog food and read about this product. Drake does not itch or scratch or have upset stomach or loose bowels anymore. He has been on it for about 2 months now and the difference is amazing!! |

Zuke's Mini Naturals Roasted Chicken Recipe. they are less than 3.5 calories per treat, so I don't feel bad if I give them to her frequently as a reward or training treat. I cut them in fours, so she thinks she is getting more than one treat! |
