New diet she's starting to shake after eating? I did a little reading and it mentioned hypo. problems. Emma just shakes a little after eating, she rubs her face on the floor a little but will shake and mess around on her own for a bit. She does not act hurt or in pain and seems to be aware. After a little bit she seems to stop shaking and either plays or lays down. Is this something that could be wrong? |

Some dogs (and people) get the chills after eating because the blood from the peripheral parts of the body rushes to the stomach and intestines to activate digestion and the loss of the peripheral blood makes them feel chilled. Usually does not last for too long, then they are back to normal. That being said her vet should probably assess her circulatory system to be sure this is not a problem. |
Maybe it's the excitement of the food, too. With that said, I think I'd call my vet and just ask what he thought about it. Better safe than sorry. :) |
I noticed that my puppie's paws shake a little when he sits down. It only happens occasionally and it would be a paw that e is NOT putting his weight on. Is that something I should be concerned about? |
My dog shakes after she eats as well. Do you know what your dogs bilee acid rates are before and after she/he eats? Could be a problem with the liver. Liver shunts are very common in yorkies unfortunately. |
Is this a young puppy? If so, you want to watch this bc some of the signs of liver shunt are strange behavior after eating like head-pushing etcetera. It's probably not this, but you should be aware of it since this is happening after eating. |
